A heartwarming product story

I had this in my backlog of posts for a while now, but happy I can finally share it :)

I'm currently in a setting, where I act more of product stakeholder than a "true" PM, as I don't have my own team, but I rely on a few remote teams, which are shared for multiple stakeholders and countries, building a single product. Thus, it is not easy to have one's product needs developed with a top priority. No one said things will be easy!

The bonus of this situation is that other stakeholders, that are in the same place as I am, do have teams which can make some work around the product using its API. Thus, I had a great pleasure of working with Esteban Panzeri Glas and Valentina Olivo, who shared some internal tools to help Poland out FOR FREE. Not only share but also their tools needed to be adapted to also serve Poland, which I was told was done by their teams with pleasure. Still, it required them to spend their time and effort, that they could otherwise dedicate to develop more for themselves.

As no one asked us to pay for the software and development time. Thus, the best I could do was to turn on that google translate and record a personal thank you:

Which got me an amazing return message from the dev team's leader Luis Sánchez Zarricueta:

Hi. I'm Luis, Tech Leader of Chile on behalf of the team. We really appreciate your kind words and by extension I can assure you if you need anything we will try to put you first in the line. Hoping you and your family keeps safe in these difficult times, bye

I'm sharing this, as it really boosted my morale in these difficult times, both in terms of economy and competition. Despite that, there are so many great people willing to share and help and there is always time and place from a proper "thank you", which, so surprisingly, is enough.

Thank you all again, whom I mentioned in the story, I'm so happy I could share this,

Bart

Thanks for the words Bart, this was a very good surprise. Thanks for the effort and trying to speak in Spanish to us, that was very thoughtful and the team appreciates it a lot :)
