A heartfelt message for all

A heartfelt message for all

Greetings!

I write this with hope amidst the chaos and fluttering prayers from my heart.

In the face of the Covid-19 virus where churches are being closed till further notice and the world remains alert, one thought remains in my mind. How do we find the emotional strength to go through this period of turmoil and how do we still focus on the good side of life? For many of us, this is the first time we’re experiencing a pandemic such as this in our lives.

There are people getting infected by the minute, people who are dying. It is a relief that there are numerous people who have recovered too. As we stay indoors, we can take this time to reflect on our lives and think of ways in which we can react to this in a responsible manner. As a CEO, my team and I have come up with ways to help our partners communicate better with their respective parishioners. As a Christian, I personally think that we have the responsibility to pray for others, for the sick, for the ones taking care of them and for the world. We also have the responsibility of making sure that our family is well informed on the measures they can adopt to avoid the virus. We have a responsibility towards each other. We will have to derive emotional strength through prayers and in one another.

Offices and public places are being closed, resources are depleting and the future seems bleak. The probable outcome may even remind us of the Great Depression of the 1930’s. However, we are all in this together. May our hearts find peace in the fact that we all are working towards better days and that experts around the world are giving it their all in finding the best solution. Let’s pray for them.

I would like to leave you with a Bible verse from Number 6:24-26:

“The Lord bless you  and keep you;  The Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

Prayers and best wishes, Patrick J Coleman CEO, GiveCentral
