We worked on exciting filming project with teams from Amazing Apprenticeships , Department for Education and Pearldrop Video Production and Debbie Watson from Caddick Construction Limited to promote our Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ) and are delighted to share our students' inspirational stories.
Hear from our HTQ Construction students about why they chose to study a HTQ and the benefits of it, as well as how they’re juggling their learning alongside their roles at Caddick Construction Limited , Keepmoat , Firecrest Construction and Hodgson -Plastering and Rendering Specialists .
Apprenticeship Funding Opportunity with Drax
Are you a small to medium employer wanting to take on new apprentices or upskill your existing workforce through an Apprenticeship?
If so, we can fully fund training for your apprentices through levy transfer support from Drax Group. ?
We can support you with:
?? Setting you up with a Government Apprenticeship Service Account (if you do not already have one).
?? Guiding you through the process to apply for a transfer of Drax levy funds.
?? Subject to approval from Drax, we aim to support your transition into their programme with no funds to pay.

Wakefield Business Awards Finalists

We've been recognised for our longstanding and effective collaboration with Willmott Dixon and how its providing learners of all ages with the opportunity to enter the construction industry.
Our hardworking and successful Apprentice, Mark Curran, has also been shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year award ??

Skills Bootcamp Success!
In September, we delivered our brand-new Skills Bootcamp in Site Operatives to clients of DWP Job Centre Plus and Step Up. With a CSCS test at the end of the course, the learners were able to gain a labourer card and become eligible to apply for positions on construction sites.
To support them in taking their next steps, Sarah Muscas of Morgan Sindall Construction, Chris Armitage of Caval Ltd, Beth Carter of Marlborough Brickwork, and Nicola Brooke of Hays, provided the learners with job interviews after completing their course, for which we are hugely grateful! ??

National Student Survey results 2024
The Office for Students' National Student Survey 2024 results are out and we're delighted that over 91% of our students were satisfied with the teaching on their HE course ?
Nearly 95% of students also said that their course challenged them to achieve their best work, which is significantly higher than the sector average of 85%.
Our Higher Education courses are delivered flexibly so can be carried out alongside existing commitments.

Meet Debbie
We would like to introduce you to Debbie Lee, our Employer Engagement Manager.
Debbie recently attended the 'We Are Wakefield Supporters Network' event at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. After some insightful conversations, planning future collaborations and connecting with new faces, they wrapped up with a tour of the park and some refreshing networking!
