Group Boosts Adults’ Skills and Job Prospects with New Courses Enrolling Now
The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is offering adults the opportunity to enhance their skills, retrain or move into employment with its latest range of adult courses.
Offering over 170 different part-time and online programmes, adults can enrol now on a range of courses including Automotive, Business, Childcare & Early Years, Construction, Dental, Engineering, Health & Social Care, Hospitality & Catering, Sport, Teacher Training and much more.
The Group’s new and enhanced offer also includes brand-new Skills Bootcamps in Construction Site Operatives, LGV Driving and Heat Recovery and Transfer, providing learners with the skills and knowledge to progress or move into a range of high-demand sectors.

Nasen Awards 2024
We are proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for the Further Education Provider of the Year accolade at the Nasen 2024 awards. We're incredibly proud of our Special Educational Needs (SEND) provision and the positive impact it has on the lives on our learners, so we're delighted to be shortlisted for this award.
?New Academic Year Sees Launch of Online Access to HE Diplomas
As we approach the start of a new academic year, we are pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new Online Access to Higher Education (HE) courses. Having offered Access to HE courses through our University Centre at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group for some time now, the introduction of an online option will allow learners more flexibility to achieve these Level 3 qualifications, which are recognised by some of the UK’s leading universities.
The Online Access to HE Diplomas are available in Health Professional, Computer Science and Engineering. The programmes provide learners with the relevant knowledge and study skills they will need if they have been out of education and want to successfully complete a degree course.

Staff Conference
This year’s Annual Staff Conference was held at Elland Road, in Leeds, and led with a sustainability and digital skills theme. All staff from the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group were invited to kick off the new academic year with keynote speeches from Steve Frampton MBE who spoke passionately about sustainability and the key role colleges can play in preventing climate change, as well as Richard Gerver who delivered a motivational talk on mental resilience. The Group’s Staff Recognition Awards for 2023-2024 were also presented to those who had been nominated by their peers for showing outstanding commitment to uphold the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group’s values, as well as awards recognising colleagues who have completed 20, 30 or 40 years of service. Results Days Celebrations
Students from the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group’s Colleges are dreaming big after securing their A Level and T Level results this month, with students heading on to Russell Group universities and prosperous careers in a range of industries.?
Selby College is celebrating the fantastic achievements of its class of 2024, with its A Level programmes achieving an outstanding 99.5% pass rate.
For Wakefield College’s A Level subjects, nine subjects achieved a 100% pass rate including Art, Design & Media, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English Language and Film Studies, with English Literature continuing its remarkable streak by achieving a 100% pass rate for the 19th year running.
Selby College secured a 100% pass rate across all its T Level programmes, whilst Wakefield College and Castleford College achieved ?a 100% pass rate for its Business & Management, Digital Production, Education and Early Years, Engineering and Health T Level courses.
Sam Wright, Chief Executive and Principal at the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, expressed her pride in the achievements of the students:
“It’s been delightful to see so many students with smiling faces today after securing places at their dream universities or employment in their chosen industries. Throughout our students’ time with us, we strive to deliver an all-encompassing study programme which not only enables them to succeed in their studies and achieve their ambitions, but also helps to build their confidence and independence to prepare them for their next steps in life.”
