SDG- 13 CLIMATE ACTION PROJECT

At Navjyoti India Foundation, New Delhi

MEQ Academy is thrilled to announce a new project on sustainable development goals for the students of the Navjyoti India Foundation. Our goal is to take SDG 13: Climate Action and make it a reality for approximately 300 students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

Through this program, we aim to raise children's awareness of climate change and inspire them to take personal action to slow it down. In doing so, they will be helping to save Mother Earth and contribute to achieving SDG 13 by 2030.

We create engaging, interactive lessons for kids so they may learn about sustainability in a way that interests them. We employ the "learning by doing'' technique, which requires that students be given projects that require them to come up with personal ideas for how to reuse, reduce, and recycle various things. To reduce waste, for instance, they can make the most of leftover materials like plastic, fabric, cardboard, glass bottles, newspapers, etc. Our coaches are well-trained to teach kids the knowledge they need about the SDGs, as well as some suggestions on how each person can contribute to this vital cause.

We also aim to train the children in some basic craftsmanship, which can help them in the future.

EQ LAB WITH LILIANA RODRIGUEZ V.

Every month, we organise free webinars for our club members to ensure the well-being of the people in our community. We brought in EQ labs last month, in December, so that our participants could try out a few activities with the coach. The class was led by Liliana Rodriguez, who did a fantastic job emphasising the sensory organs, many of which we frequently are unaware are among the most crucial tools for controlling our emotions. She explained to the participants how the scent, taste, and texture of particular foods can arouse a range of emotions in us, such as nostalgia.

The session was exceptional and wonderful. Everyone who came must have learnt a lot, and they will likely be able to use the new knowledge in their lives to reap many benefits.

EQ LAB WITH AZEEM SAHEER

Our second webinar was delivered by a well-known EQ practitioner and coach. He talked about the importance of desired and undesired feelings and how to identify any potential hurdles or anchors that might stand in the way of achieving a goal. He also discussed what types of feelings are necessary to have while working towards a goal and how to stay positive and motivated throughout the journey.

The session was beneficial and revitalizing for many participants as it allowed them to candidly express their emotions, further encouraging them to work determinedly towards their goal.

EFFECTIVE PARENTING TIPS

Teaching your child basic life skills at the age of 6 and 7 is not only important but it will also make them feel empowered and confident. Now, look at a few basic life skills you can teach your child.?

  • Cleaning up their room or bathroom.
  • Helping with house chores.
  • Doing fireless cooking.
  • Doing up laundry.
  • Taking responsibility to complete their homework as well as class work.
  • Managing emotions.
  • Accountable for their mistakes.
  • Being socially responsible means contributing to help save water, save electricity, say no to plastic, planting trees, etc.
  • Following a fixed timetable for studying, playing, and other recreational activities.
  • Respecting and obeying elders.

CREATE YOUR VISION BOARD FOR 2023

Vision boards are versatile tools that can help you to manifest your personal goals, or create a visual representation of a personal vision statement. IMPROVE YOUR EI IN THE NEW YEAR

Do you make New Year Resolutions that never get finished? I might want to recommend that don't check out the start of the New year to take a goal but rather modify and reset your last year's goals.
