Heart of the House Steps Up for House of Verizon at Super Bowl LIX

During Super Bowl LIX, Verizon turned New Orleans’ Fulton Alley into the House of Verizon—a high-energy, four-day experience filled with exclusive performances, NFL player appearances, fashion showcases, and fan-friendly events leading up to the big game. With a 600-guest capacity and an action-packed schedule, delivering seamless hospitality was crucial. That’s where Heart of the House and our award-winning food service staffing came in.

Bringing Our A-Game to Super Bowl Hospitality

When it comes to major events, success isn’t just about the spectacle—it’s about the experience. And that experience hinges on dedicated, skilled staff working tirelessly behind the scenes. Over four intense days, Heart of the House provided 24 experienced employee-owners to ensure every guest at House of Verizon received world-class hospitality.

But staffing an event of this scale doesn’t happen overnight. It takes careful recruiting, screening, and onboarding to build a team that can perform under pressure. That’s why we called on one of our top recruiters, Nestor Fuenmayor, to assemble a team of New Orleans’ finest hospitality professionals for the event.

Heart of the House South Regional Director, Jimmy Salas, using his expertise at the carving station

From food passers to bussers, dishwashers to restroom attendants, and frontline supervisors, our team covered 90 individual shifts to keep the event running like a well-executed game plan. And just like in football, when the pressure’s on, leadership makes all the difference.

Leading the Hospitality Playbook

Our South Regional Director, Jimmy Salas , and National Business Development Manager for Foodservice, Adrian Gomez , were on-site from 8 AM to 3 AM—proving that great leadership means being in the trenches with your team.

With decades of experience in hospitality staffing, Jimmy didn’t just manage from the sidelines. He jumped onto the carving station, played Floor Manager, and took on Expo duties, ensuring every plate looked as good as it tasted. When the heat turned up in the kitchen, he made sure everything ran smoothly.

Meanwhile, Adrian worked tirelessly to manage shift transitions and maintain quality at every turn. In an environment where thousands of guests came through over multiple days, his ability to direct and support our staff ensured that service never missed a beat.
