Heart failure

Heart failure

Heart failure, also known as cardiomyopathy, is a condition in which the heart muscle becomes weak or damaged, affecting the heart's ability to pump blood effectively to the rest of the body. There are several types of heart muscle weakness, including:

1. Dilated Cardiomyopathy: The heart chambers enlarge, and the walls become weak, leading to a reduced ability of the heart to pump blood.

2. Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: The walls of the heart become abnormally thick, reducing the heart's ability to pump blood effectively.

3. Restrictive Cardiomyopathy: The walls of the heart become stiff, making it difficult for the heart to fill with blood properly.
