Hearing NO a lot from brands? Let's talk about it
Ever pitch a brand and it's just crickets? ?We've all been there, believe me. It's a part of the game & I too have to remind myself of this. We've got to trust that things are working behind the scenes, that we're not aware of, in our favor. Trust the process right??
?
Inevitably campaign opportunities always pop up but lordy does it trust my patience at times!
?
My friend Brittany Brown posted some great thought starters about why you may be getting crickets when pitching brands for collaborations.?
All too often I hear from creators that they'd be the best partner for a certain brand. Okay, why? Sell me on it really well because you're going to have to sell the brand on it with even more convincing.?
?
There is so much competition for brand's attention and dollars, more and more with every passing day.?
?
Brands are being a lot more strategic about who they partner with…..because they can be.?
?
When you're hearing no from a brand, or even crickets, smart, strategic influencers are taking that feedback as helpful information vs taking it personally. They're asking themselves the questions above to revisit the pitch through the brand's perspective.?
?
All too often it's a miss because the email isn't with the casting director for a campaign, or your timing is off.?
?
So if you're a manager who is pitching, like I am, or a creator who is pitching, I encourage you to pause, check in on the above and perhaps revisit some of your earlier pitches with a new eye.?
?
Let me know how it's going. I love hearing from you & what you're up to.
Until next time. Thanks for being here.?
