Healthy snack Ideas for my Busy bees??

You know that we all are leading a busy work & home schedule.. I have seen my neighbour friends running to office without taking their breakfast. As we climb promotion ladder, there is high chance that we forget our health and concentrate fully on work.. So I am going to introduce some simple snack recipes which is very healthy and tasty ....Yumm !!!

Juggling work and healthy eating can be a challenge, but these easy Indian snack recipes are perfect for busy professionals on the go:

1. Sprouted Moong Dal Chaat (Salad):

  • Ingredients: 1 cup sprouted moong dal (green gram), chopped tomatoes, cucumber, onion, chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala, salt to taste.
  • Preparation: Pressure cook or boil moong dal until sprouted. Combine with chopped vegetables, coriander leaves, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Sprinkle chaat masala and salt for a tangy and flavorful snack.


2. Makhana (Fox Nuts) Salad:

  • Ingredients: 1 cup roasted makhana, chopped red and green bell peppers, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, lime juice, cumin powder, red chili powder (optional), salt to taste.
  • Preparation: In a bowl, combine roasted makhana with chopped vegetables and coriander leaves. Dress with a mixture of lime juice, cumin powder, red chili powder (if using), and salt. This salad is crunchy, protein-rich, and keeps you satisfied for hours.


3. Besan Cheela (Gram Flour Pancakes):

  • Ingredients: 1 cup besan (gram flour), water, chopped onion, chopped green chili (optional), turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt to taste, oil for cooking.
  • Preparation: Make a batter of besan flour with water, adding chopped onion, green chili (if using), turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Heat oil in a pan and pour small portions of batter to make pancakes. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Besan cheela is a savory and filling snack packed with protein and fiber.


4. Masala Oats Upma:

  • Ingredients: 1 cup rolled oats, chopped vegetables (carrot, peas, onion), chopped green chili (optional), curry leaves, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt to taste, oil for cooking.
  • Preparation: Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Once spluttering, add chopped vegetables and green chili (if using). Saute until softened. Add rolled oats, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and water. Cook until oats are soft and water is absorbed. Masala oats upma is a warm and comforting snack, perfect for a mid-morning energy boost.


5. Roasted Makhana with Herbs:

  • Ingredients: 1 cup roasted makhana, chopped rosemary, thyme, and oregano, olive oil, salt to taste.
  • Preparation: Mix roasted makhana with chopped rosemary, thyme, and oregano. Drizzle olive oil and salt for a flavorful and healthy snack.


Bonus Tip: Prepare these snacks in advance and store them in airtight containers for a quick grab-and-go option throughout your busy workday.
