Most concur that our brain is the most important organ in our bodies. While all body parts and organs are also integral to living life the way that we do, keeping good brain health is vital to ensure longevity with variety and quality of life. Here are some ways to do that!
Sleep Empowers Brain Function
Several researchers found that having restful sleep keeps the brain sharp over time. Lack of sleep can limit more than your thinking. It can impair social skills, memory, and more. Sleeping is important to maximizing the information you take in and the quality of work that you put out.
Generally speaking, an average of eight hours per night can help you boost memory, keep more memories fresh in your later years, and maintain the physical brain volume, and reduce the risk of suffering from neurological disorders.
Healthy Body Healthy Brain
Physical activity is one of the top-rated methods to keep your brain healthy over the years. Yes, exercising your muscles also helps your noggin! People, especially mature adults, who engage in physical exercise are more likely to retain high cognition.
And, it’s always a good time to start! Even people with mild cognitive impairment gain many benefits from exercise as well as warding off the famous conditions related to gaps in memories in our seniors.
Speak Life and Speak it with Confidence
From a consciousness perspective, what also really helps here is to chuck “I don’t know” and “I’m not sure” out of your vocabulary! Pay close attention to where you are holding on to doubt and indecision in your life. Choose to know! Choose to remember! Choose to have your perfect pathway forward and to recognize it with ease! You program your mind with every word that you say, so peak in a way that feeds your brain, your memory, and increases your mental capacity to higher than ever!
Realize that the brain is working at all times, so it’s easy for it to become overworked in people that work excessive hours, those that are constantly on the move, and other that think, think, and think more. Here are a few more suggestions that you can start doing today to keep your brain functioning at its best. See the last mailer for additional ones.
Heathy Eating for Your Brain
The brain loves healthy fats as well as clean and colorful fruits and veggies. We suggest including these in your eating regimen:
-Unsaturated fats (Olive oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil).
-Raw nuts (especially Walnuts) and avocados
-Blueberries
-Broccoli, celery, and green leafy vegetables
-Fatty Fish (as well reducing red and white meats)

-Turmeric as well as Raw Cacao Powder and Nibs - it’s what makes chocolate chocolate, and is much more beneficial in this form
-Fermented foods
**Note** What you take out can be as important as what you put in. Reducing consumption of foods that contain chemicals, preservatives, additives, pesticides and more will have a beneficial effect. Imagine the strain on the body having to consistently detox itself from inorganic elements? It’s a lot. Plus, some of these are neurotoxins, some of which are designed to disorient insects and others to keep your deli meat fresh. Choose wisely. Convenience can have a cost.
Jump into some Fun, Mental Exercises
In a way, your brain is a muscle. It likes to work and performs better when it does some stretching and gymnastics, intellectual stimulation. Working your brain can also create new cells and new connections and help prevent those funny sounding words that doctors like to use for our seniors experiencing losses in memory.
These are some great activities your brain:
-Learning to play a musical instrument.
-Learning a foreign language.
-Doing crossword puzzles.
-Developing a new skill.
-Problem-solving games and exercises.
-Visit your future with your Imagination
These activities have shown to improve thinking skills as well as keep a healthy heart, and most importantly, really importantly, choose something(s) that you enjoy! If it’s a chore, it’s benefits can be limited, so make it fun!
Abundant Blessings,
Mark
