The Healthiest Food On The PLANET!
If you follow me on social media, you'll notice that I sometimes mention that, despite being 65 years old, I take NO prescription drugs. At the same time, many of my friends, much younger than I am, sometimes take as many as EIGHT different prescription drugs!
My secret is simply that I eat very healthy, get lots of exercise and sufficient sleep.
One of the ways that I eat healthy, very inexpensively, is that I grow much of my own food :-)
For example, I grow my own moringa. I grow it from seeds, or cuttings and sell the plants locally and via the internet :-)
Moringa (Moringa oleifera), often referred to as the "miracle tree," is valued for its nutritional and medicinal properties. Here are some of the reputed health benefits associated with moringa according to my research assistant (Mr. ChatGPT) :
Rich in Nutrients: Moringa is a powerhouse of vitamins (A, C, and E), minerals (calcium, potassium, and magnesium), and protein. It's often used to combat malnutrition in various parts of the world.
High in Antioxidants: Moringa is rich in antioxidants like quercetin and chlorogenic acid, which help neutralize free radicals, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation in the body.
Anti-Inflammatory: The plant contains isothiocyanates, which have anti-inflammatory effects. It may help alleviate conditions caused by chronic inflammation, such as arthritis.
Helps Lower Blood Sugar Levels: Studies suggest that moringa may help lower blood sugar levels, which could be beneficial for managing diabetes.
Improves Heart Health: Moringa's high antioxidant content and anti-inflammatory properties may support heart health by reducing cholesterol and improving blood pressure levels.
Supports Brain Health: The antioxidants and neuroprotective properties of moringa could potentially improve cognitive function and help protect against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's.
Boosts Immunity: Moringa contains high levels of vitamin C and other compounds that enhance the immune system’s response, making it a popular choice in immune-boosting regimens.
Promotes Skin Health: The vitamins and antioxidants in moringa can help protect the skin from damage and promote healthy skin by reducing the appearance of wrinkles and promoting collagen production.
Improves Digestion: Moringa has mild laxative properties and can aid digestion, helping with conditions like constipation. It is also used traditionally to soothe stomach ulcers.
Supports Liver Function: Moringa has been shown to protect the liver from damage caused by toxins, promoting liver health and function.
Enhances Lactation: Moringa is used in some cultures as a natural supplement to enhance breast milk production in nursing mothers. One of my nieces in the Philippines told me of this effect during a chat several years ago, when she was breastfeeding her infant :-)
Moringa’s broad range of benefits makes it a popular choice in traditional medicine systems, especially in parts of Africa and Asia.

P.S. I mentioned that I take no prescription meds, but many of my friends do. According to one study I read, the AVERAGE American spends over $1600 per year on prescription meds.
That's CRAZY isn't it?
If you're in that situation, here where you can get over 800 of the most commonly prescribed medications for a grand total of Less That $20 per month!
