It's time that HR and managers talk and work on the health (both physical and mental) of their employees, not just the productivity of the company. Please remember that healthy employees will be more productive, and happier and stay with the organization longer than they usually do.
I am concerned about the professionals who are working daily extra hours, especially CA members and the Articles. I believe that one reason the profession is becoming less attractive because there is not enough time for the rest of their well-being. This culture is worse in bigger CA firms, where employees are treated like machines for greater targets and profits.
If we continue this way, I am sure that most professionals would spend the last 20 years of their lives managing lifestyle diseases, including BP, Heart, and diabetes.
The current working environment is not sustainable in the long run without significant health problems in the future.
I believe that people are feeling burnout and sleeplessness is a common problem.
There are four ways to improve the health of employees:

1.?? Exercising or walking including in the offices: Devote small time at work to exercise and walk. Yes, it may seem strange for a company to encourage exercising, walks, or yoga at the office but research has shown that exercising a bit during the workday leads to better productivity.
You can clean out one room at the office and put a yoga ball there or some other fitness equipment. Encourage employees for walk. Sometimes even a brief walk around in the office compound can help beat the stress and improve overall health.
2.?? Eliminate Junk Food: We all love snacks and some groceries that are maybe not as good for as they should be. And, yes, it is impossible to make people stop eating these foods altogether, but at least you can eliminate them at the workplace.? Instead of going for chips or sweets, fill your office kitchen, canteens or food vendors with fruits, and healthy snacks such as almonds, nuts, and pistachios. That way you will offer healthy choices to your co-workers instead of filling the kitchen, canteens, or vendors with junk almost every single person eats.
3.?? Encourage Good Sleep at night or 30-minute short naps at work: Research has proven that naps help us maintain – even improve – our cognitive performance, in addition to boosting our ability to remember and recall facts learned throughout the day. Studies also show that a midday nap can help reduce feelings of frustration and increase productivity.
4.?? Encouraging Wellness Goals: Bear in mind that it is most likely not possible to convince every single co-worker or employee at the workplace to start living their life in a healthier way. It doesn’t matter what wellness programs you find; some people won’t be willing to participate. However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try to encourage a healthier lifestyle. Roll out your ideas and express your concerns when it comes to well-being. That way you will know if your initiative has support.
Remember, we have the choice of slogging today for more profits and bonuses vs. good long-term healthy, and productive lives.
