Healthful Surprises
My bouquet of Salad Greens- Dr Pratibha Singh

Healthful Surprises

I'm genuinely amazed at how the same information can hit you differently when it comes from various sources. It's like a lightbulb moment that finally clicks and makes complete sense, guiding you towards positive changes. I've had this delightful experience with the advice on incorporating greens, veggies, and protein into every meal.

Even though I've been cultivating my salad and veggie greens, relishing big salads with cheese and nuts, and making eggs a staple in my breakfast, my recent blood work revealed a surprise—pre-diabetic range! It became evident that I needed professional guidance to refine my supposedly healthy habits.

Enters Rajiv Ambat , a medical fitness professional, who not only crafted an executable and sustainable nutrition plan for me but also tailored a manageable workout routine based on my health status and future goals. His simple yet effective suggestion to add spinach leaves to my omelette turned a sporadic practice into a consistent one.

The next revelation came from Prashant Desai 's post about the order of eating. Now, salads take the lead in my meals. Though I used to enjoy big salads before, I've made it a point to finish my salad before moving on to the main course. The only downside is feeling too full for the main meal, prompting me to reconsider my portion sizes.

The third eye-opener was from Herna , sharing her approach to a healthy gut . Understanding the importance of starting the day with proteins, I now ensure to include eggs or cottage cheese in my breakfast alongside the greens.

Today, as I relished a substantial salad with a variety of lettuce and freshly pickled red onions, topped with chilli crisp, I could not help but marvel at the significant role Rajiv Ambat , @Prashant, and Herna De Wit, PhD Biochemistry, LLB Law have played in improving my health.

A heartfelt thank you to these incredible individuals for their impactful contributions to my well-being. Your wisdom has sparked positive changes, and I am sincerely grateful. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank you for the inspiration. Salads as a meal starter or a meal in itself is something I am inculcating in my diet too.
