Healthcare World at Arab Health 2024
It’s been three years since Healthcare World launched onto the global stage.? The highlight each year for us, like so many people, is Arab Health – the largest healthcare conference in the world.? With more than 3,600 visitors from over 191 countries, it’s the most exciting sector forum for healthcare experts.
?
Despite all the fascinating exhibits and the plethora of innovation, the real value of Arab Health lies in its peripheral events.? From the lavish dinners to the panel sessions, there are key people from each territory at these events.? But where do you start?
?
For Healthcare World regulars, the answer is a curated trip to Dubai.? From our wealth of regional and global contacts, this year we put together a high-level line-up of panellists for some of the Smart Hospital events.? We also created the Healthcare World Stage, a full day of sessions covering the most pressing issues such as value-based healthcare, mental health provision and the importance of data, alongside fascinating subjects such as the healthcare strategy at NEOM and insights from the British healthcare system.
?
Chaired by Steve Gardner , Healthcare World Managing Director, Emma Sheldon MBE CEO Healthcare World and Simon Swift , Healthcare World Data Correspondent, the sessions were a veritable who’s who of healthcare – Dr Mahmoud Al Yamani, Head of Health and Wellbeing at NEOM, Jacqui Rock, Chief Commercial Officer NHS England, Ged Byrne MBE, Head of Global Health at NHS England, Dr Ibtesam al Bastaki, Director Dubai Health Authority, and many more.?
The highlight of the week was the Healthcare World reception on the Entertainment Deck at the Conrad Hotel, sponsored by NEOM.? A hotly contested ticketed event, it featured speeches from Dr Al Yamani and Jacqui Rock to an audience of more than 200 people.? It was a highly successful networking event and one that has become an annual occasion.
We were also treated to a dhow cruise on the Dubai Creek by our sponsors Bevan Brittan, a magical evening of sunset and dance.? A reception at the British Embassy, a dinner with Hill Dickinson and the Healthcare World Padel tournament were also part of the busy schedule for the week.? Not forgetting, of course, the publication of our latest issue of Healthcare World which is full of the latest insights into the healthcare sector and was available across the entire conference.
We came back from Dubai full of optimism for 2024.? We curated some important introductions, we led the debate in serious and pressing issues for the sector, and we enjoyed the beautiful location as always.
