The Healthcare Revolution; An Optimistic Take

The Healthcare Revolution; An Optimistic Take

Healthcare, once a disjointed and unsustainable system, is on the brink of a radical transformation. As someone who has witnessed the shortcomings of our health system firsthand as a teenager, I couldn't agree more with Scott Galloway's quote from summit this year; "healthcare will be the single industry AI disrupts the most". As I chose my own pathway of healing, I wanted to meaningfully understand what was missing; whether or not our mainstream thinking around health and it's subsequent interventions overlooked anything fundamental - contributing to its dysfunction.

I recognised undeniably; although we have so much to be grateful for, medicine continues to deny the existence of an innate healing intelligence within us.

For years, I've wanted to study misdiagnosis. With that paralysing feeling of being thrown around as a patient in a system; vulnerable and so desperately wanting to be better with no clear direction - or even consensus from medical teams - my assumption is misdiagnosis is all too frequent. Medicine often examines us in a fragmented manner, focusing on isolated symptoms without recognising our interconnectedness. This understanding fuelled my passion for individual, hyper-personalised healthcare, as I knew it was the path to empowering individuals and fostering coherence and wholeness.

In my analog world - my former life as a facilitator on the fringes of mental health - I facilitated comprehensive community health assessments, utilising active listening as a diagnostic tool rather than imposing solutions. The results were astonishing, witnessing the miraculous remissions that occurred when we embraced our innate capacity to heal. We often overlook this because of the time, space, willingness, capacity for presence and depth, enquiry, reflection and genuine belief that behavioural change can be inspired rather than enforced is far from the quick fix. The thing is; everything about nature is organic and in natural flow. I knew then that this approach had to scale, but the question of how kept me up at night.

I knew how many people were suffering out there - as I was through my teen years. Going to be appointments to be treated for anorexia was like sitting in a panic room. Silent, morose, beautiful and mostly young girls wasting away as the clock ticked loudly waiting for weigh-ins. Surely this isn't what healing looked like.

See, we force healing - whether it's through feeding tubes or pills on top of pills. The answer is in listening.

Yet, that has been something that's been very difficult to systemise and scale. Until now.

Intelligent systems of AI, as we are doing with inTruth, are going to provide meticulous mirrors into our interiority - bringing light to darkness, illuminating hidden emotional patterns, empowering change and radically disrupting our reliance on lab coats and pharmaceuticals. The complex systems that once meant me living in remote communities for weeks on end, listening, documenting, facilitating, negotiating, iterating - can be done and tracked person by person to a much greater capacity.

The potential of AI in healthcare excites me beyond measure. We are on the cusp of a transformative revolution, one that will liberate us. AI, as demonstrated through inTruth, is moving us towards a truly preventive and personalised solution. Shifting the need for us to have an industry that relies on sickness; to proactive wellness.

It's time to embrace this technological advancement consciously, supporting leaders who prioritize genuine care and stewardship.

As we venture into this new frontier, I have approached AI-driven healthcare with caution, but my skepticism has been replaced with hope and excitement. Through in-depth interviews with experts and continuous development, I am confident that technology will inspire a revolution of freedom for all of us. Let us embrace this exciting journey together, and be conscious of the leaders we support, as we stand on the precipice of something truly special.
