Career in the Spotlight ??:
?? Patient Care Tech (Dialysis Tech) at DaVita Kidney Care
Our Patient Care Techs are instrumental in managing the dialysis treatment of our patients here at DaVita. Our patient care techs assist with dialysis treatments on patients living with kidney failure. When a patient's kidneys no longer function effectively, dialysis treatments can artificially remove wastes from the patient's blood system, which the kidneys would do if they were still working. Dialysis technicians work alongside doctors and nurses to monitor patients undergoing dialysis treatment and ensure they receive the care they need to live well despite their medical condition.
Do I need healthcare experience to become a Patient Care Tech at DaVita?
The wonderful thing about DaVita is we accept people for Patient Care Tech roles with all types of backgrounds ranging from patient care, customer service, food service, and many other backgrounds. Those with prior healthcare experience as a medial assistant, phlebotomist, or CNA tend to do very well in this role as a PCT here at DaVita but we have a 12 week structured training program and accept those without prior healthcare experience.
We are truly passionate about the care we provide for our patients and what we really look for is someone with drive, passion for healthcare, and interest in growing their career in the dialysis industry.
So if this sounds like an area of interest and you are ready to launch your career in dialysis, check out our career opportunities in your area at the link below:
