Longevity:?September featured a few fundraisings?and a new entry from a consumer health incumbent.

• Viome raised $25M with a focus on launching a diagnostic division
• Bayer launched their "healthy-aging ecosystem" (diagnostic + supplements + digital app)
• Human Longevity got another slug of funding from TVM Capital Healthcare for international expansion
• Aura launched a comprehensive at-home health check (and apparently raised $11M, too)

Diagnostics: This month included an eclectic mix of M&A, fundraising, and corporate drama.

• 23andMe's board resigned as its co-founder &?CEO continues attempts to take the company private
• Oura acquired Veri (CGMs / metabolic health)
• Synex raised a $22M Series A for non-invasive glucose monitoring
• CUDIS raised a $5M Seed for an Oura-like ring + blockchain (apparently for personal data privacy and rewards / incentives) ?

Corporate Wellness:?A major fundraise and a couple of acquisitions signaled acceleration and consolidation in corporate fitness.

• EGYM raised?$200M at a $1.2B+ valuation (here are my initial takes on the valuation)
• EGYM made an acquisition, FitReserve, for its U.S. corporate fitness platform
• Urban Sports Club made an acquisition,?myClubs, for its European corporate fitness platform

Exercise (Retail): There was a?major sale and a handful of franchise acquisitions (~100 units total).

• Solidcore (pilates studios) sold a majority stake at a $600-700M valuation
• One Xponential Fitness franchise acquisition (48 units across 4 brands)
• Two Planet Fitness franchise acquisitions (20 units and?9 units)
• One Anytime Fitness franchise acquisition (21 units) ?

Exercise (Technology): A fitness hardware fundraise and a?couple of smaller fitness app acquisitions.

• OxeFit raised a?$18M Series A
• Outside Interactive acquired?MapMyFitness
• 7NXT acquired Buddyfit ?
