Health, Wealth and Stealth

Yesterday, I posted some thought about reconsidering WEATH.

Early this morning, I shared some thought about HEALTH.

I think both offer some value upon which to munch and I finish the unexpected triad with STEALTH; intended not to attract attention.

I offer this notion up amidst something of a world that often seems ready to celebrate the "loud and proud". In a world filled with extroversion often overshadowing the power of introversion... it is, I think, important to consider the value of quiet contribution amidst the seduction of fame and fortune.

This is not to say that Appreciation is not important. It indeed is. We all deserve Appreciation, but such does not have to be banners unfurled, trumpets blaring. I have had audiences of up to 5,000 with "name people" in attendance. That said, my most beautiful and grateful moments have been quieter, more under the radar. And, I treasure them as such. Even more so. Consider these words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:

• "What is success? To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch Or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!”

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. Hmmmmm. Our contribution to the world will not be measured by likes and followers or how many people are in our audience or influence. It will singularly be measured in that difference we make even behind the scenes. In a world that likes its "shiny bobbles" and "success stories", we need more people making the difference one to one, under that radar. For me, moving forward, I am going to meditate on these thoughts of Wealth, Health and Stealth.

That said, "The betterment of the world can be accomplished through pure and goodly deeds, through commendable and seemly conduct." And, if our ambition is to revive the world or our corner of it at home, school, work, business or community, these are words I now more deeply take to heart for Wealth, Health and Stealth. Living healthy with a better sense of personal wealth, and appreciating the under the radar; sounds rather yummy to me. Ain't nothing wrong with Modesty. My home and The Greens are modest, but beautiful, in my opinion anyways. And, Modesty is a strength of Character, after all.
