Passive income only amplifies and highlights this struggle most people have

Social media is crammed with people selling the dream of creating passive income. The way it is presented is that it is the answer to all of our problems, nothing could be further from the truth.

Why do I say that?

Well, there are numerous reasons, the main one is that it is always presented that wealth or finance is the primary issue humankind seeks to resolve, and we indeed need money. The creation of money to live and do things we want to do.

Zig Ziglar famously said 'Money won't make you happy, but everyone wants to find out for themselves.'

When we take on new clients in our coaching business we usually ask this question

'if money were no object, what would you do?'

You would be super surprised to find out that many people simply do not know.

We have become so entrenched in the rat race of generating enough money to simply survive, that we have lost sight of the higher calling.

What is our purpose?

No amount of money will substitute purpose, the very reason we are on the planet.

I think this was what Zig Ziglar was getting at.

We find it time and time again with people who have lost sight of their purpose.

One common answer is that most people would not do what they are currently doing in terms of work.

The statistical evidence indicates that a significant number of people would do something entirely different in their lives..........even if they don't know what that is.

It is our first port of call when we coach people to help establish their purpose.

It is especially important as we teach how to turn your annual income into a monthly income. We find people are enthralled, and excited, about that prospect, but it would be remiss of us to simply show them how to turn their annual income into a monthly income without first establishing their purpose. Why? Because wealth will only serve to amplify the dissatisfaction many people carry for significant parts of their lives, often arriving in the later years of their lives to realize that money is not the only part of the equation.

I suspect many reading this would agree with that sentiment, and may comment that health and relationships are super important to live a balanced life, and yet in the absence of being aware of their purpose, continue on the habit loop of generating enough money to survive.

We find that a lot of our clients need support, walking away from the paradigm that everything is driven by money important though it is, there is a higher way a more satisfying way, where can have it all.

Do I think passive income is valid and a great way of solving one of life's great challenges, absolutely yes. We have created multiple revenue streams that afford us the lifestyle we want. However, it took me years of pain and struggle to arrive at the right reasons to have the work-life balance so frequently talked about but rarely achieved.
