Have we lost the art of innovation?
I woke up this morning to a global IT outage, which seems to have brought the world to a halt with major airlines being grounded, banks in a state of array, and Skynewsuk.com being unable to broadcast live.
Our own radio station was thankfully online still broadcasting 24/7 around the world.
Why the title of this newsletter, whenever we have these global events that strike at the heart of a functioning society and bring a sense of just how fragile our infrastructure is it always makes me think.
My social media feeds absolutely saturated with sponsored adds that seem to always infer that we have something wrong with us.
It's part of the psychology of sales, but I think it is one of the reasons society has an air of dysfunctionality about it.
We are always looking to someone else to tell us what to do.
I was quite shocked by some of the social media posts, and it stuck me why.
In many cases the adds are just about making money, nothing wrong with making money of course but there is a decided lack of vision or purpose associated with said money making.
It led me to think how important vision and purpose is and that just making money serves what purpose?
There seems to be a trend that our sole purpose is to make money and then live a life doing what? It is genuinely a case of money without a purpose.
In the quest to just chase the money, have we lost the art of innovation?
Perhaps creating something or redesigning something that would benefit society, with the knowledge that the money will follow by default. It is a mantra of most billionaires love them or hate them most of what they do is never about making money, they are always innovating to help change society.
Now don't get me wrong I love showing people how to make money, we have courses that show people how to turn their annual income into a monthly income. the main thing we do that is different is to take people through a process at the beginning of all of our course searching out the fundamental ideas of how to find your purpose.

Whilst you may make millions in the process of converting your annual income into a monthly income, we always temper the teaching with a sense of what would you do for society with that money as well?
Remember money whilst serving us as individuals and families to relive financial pressure and create financial freedom, we alway ask what would you do for your community, what sports team would you sponsor, what charity would you support?
Rather than just following the latest money making idea, that shows you how to make a six figure income without understanding why. Think about what it is you are trying to achieve in your life.
These posts are oversimplifying the souls of humankind, inferring that we just want money, to go on holiday pay our mortgages off and then sit and do nothing.
I have been fortunate enough to have enough money to do just that, and can speak from personal experience the lure of holidays, buying luxury items, whilst can seem appealing when you are not in that position, once achieved can be very dull without a purpose for the money.
We talk on our courses and get some significant stick for this statement 'the money you acquire is never just for you'
Disdain and arguments against the idea show several things.
Remember money does not change us it only amplifies who we are. If people are mean spirited before they have money, they will be even meaner when they have it, the reverse is true as well.
It can often show subconscious routines that are running.
We always ask if money were no object what would you do the answers are often interesting. Many have no clue, and for those people we always help them discover their purpose.
Others however, are full of innovation, and the only thing they think preventing them fulfilling their purpose is money. the lack of funds is an easy fix the innovation and purpose is more challenging.
