Health Tech Trends Series - Reflections from across the NHS | Digital Integrated Care Systems | Which area in health tech would you prioritise?
As we approach the end of 2023, we’re taking a look back on the year’s progress and achievements by asking NHS professionals: reflecting on 2023, what digital projects and programmes are you most proud of?
Morgan Daly, digital strategy transformation lead for One Care, the GP federation that represents and supports practices across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICS, shared that in 2023, they initiated an extensive requirements gathering process with general practice and system partners to take stock of their requirements of the electronic patient record. “We’re proud of the way in which so many general practice and other system partner views have helped inform planning for the future, and will lead to greater interoperability of health and care systems,” Morgan said.
For our latest poll as part of our Health Tech Trends series, sponsored by InterSystems, we put the following question to our health tech audience via LinkedIn: what do you think should be the highest priority in the short term for digital integrated care systems?
We saw 121 people respond to the poll from a range of backgrounds from the NHS and beyond. Our respondents chose from four options – empowering patients, leveraging data and population health, connecting systems, or redesigning services and digital care models.
For our latest industry view, we asked four representatives from integrated care systems for their thoughts on the digital priorities in their region – and what they are looking forward to in the future with regards to digital in health.
