It has been another incredibly busy but productive month for Health Spaces. Here are just some of our highlights...

75 modules installed in 10 days

Work has continued at pace for our construction team, with a record number of modular units installed. In 10 days, we installed a total of 75 modular bays over two sites (plus 3 plant room frames). A total of 78 crane lifts in 10 days!

81st bay installed at Newham Hospital

December has seen the final deliveries of our pre-constructed modules to Newham Hospital, with the 81st module installed yesterday evening. There are 4 linkway bays to be installed, with the main building installation now complete. Read more about the?Barts Health NHS Trust?project here.

BBC joins Health Spaces live from site

Did you miss?Health Spaces?live on?BBC News?this month? The BBC saw the first of the pre-constructed modules being installed for?James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Some of the Health Spaces team were live on television, as well as featured online.

All of the planned modules have now been safely installed at James Paget University Hospital. It has been really exciting for Health Spaces and the James Paget University Hospital team to see our pre-constructed modules arrive to site – with modules measuring up to 4.2m wide, and the heaviest unit being 22.5 tonnes! December highlights

It was great to attend the Improving Care for Older People summit opened by Liz Jones, Policy Director at the?National Care Forum?and Ian Trenholm, Chief Executive at?Care Quality Commission. Brilliant to hear how Health on the High Street? can make an impact.

If you missed our design workshop with Crispin Walkling-Lea , Head of Healthcare Planning - Space & Place at?Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, you can access it through our Learning Hub.

We were also delighted to support The Rainbow Centre at Newham Hospital,?Barts Health NHS Trust, delivering a selection of toys for their young patients.??It was also lovely to see our Christmas trees bringing festive cheer to patients and staff!

Webinar: Space for Art - The Impact of Art on Health & Wellbeing

Learn about the practicalities of embedding art into healthcare settings, and what more can be done to encourage art within NHS Trusts.
