December 2022: Building Better Healthcare, Faster
It has been another incredibly busy but productive month for Health Spaces. Here are just some of our highlights...
75 modules installed in 10 days
Work has continued at pace for our construction team, with a record number of modular units installed. In 10 days, we installed a total of 75 modular bays over two sites (plus 3 plant room frames). A total of 78 crane lifts in 10 days!
"Every module is another step towards Health Spaces achieving our on-going mission - to enable every NHS Trust to have world class healthcare estates and facilities.?And a great benchmark to beat in 2023!"?- Kelvin Moulding, Director.
81st bay installed at Newham Hospital
December has seen the final deliveries of our pre-constructed modules to Newham Hospital, with the 81st module installed yesterday evening. There are 4 linkway bays to be installed, with the main building installation now complete. Read more about the?Barts Health NHS Trust?project here.
We certainly witnessed some beautiful wintery scenes at Newham this month! ??
BBC joins Health Spaces live from site
Did you miss?Health Spaces?live on?BBC News?this month? The BBC saw the first of the pre-constructed modules being installed for?James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Some of the Health Spaces team were live on television, as well as featured online.
All of the planned modules have now been safely installed at James Paget University Hospital. It has been really exciting for Health Spaces and the James Paget University Hospital team to see our pre-constructed modules arrive to site – with modules measuring up to 4.2m wide, and the heaviest unit being 22.5 tonnes!
