Here are Some basic definitions:
Incident:
An unexpected event that disrupts normal operations, which may or may not cause harm. Incidents can include:
1) Near-misses
2) Accidents
(a)like property damage
(b) or events that lead to Injuries. Depending on severity:
1.?????? Non-Lost Time Injury (NLTI): Minor injuries where the worker can continue duties without missing work.
2.?????? Lost Time Injury (LTI): More severe outcomes where the injured worker cannot return to work for at least one scheduled shift.
1)Near-Miss:
An unplanned event that could have caused injury, damage, or harm but did not, often serving as a warning. Near-misses do not result in LTI or NLTI but highlight potential hazards to address proactively.

2)Accident:
An unplanned event resulting in harm, injury, illness, or damage. It often results in:
1.?????? Lost Time Injury (LTI): Significant injuries requiring time off work.
2.?????? Non-Lost Time Injury (NLTI): Less severe injuries that allow the individual to continue working.
Note:
All such unplanned, untoward/unintended events in general are called incidents which have been classified further in 2 main categories 1) Near-misses or) Accidents. Accidents are either damage to property or to people. If the accident is related to harm/injury/cause illness to people these have further two categories 1. Lost time injury (LTI) & 2. Non-Lost time injury (NLTI)
