Health care economic headwinds and HIMSS 2023
Economic Headwinds
Inflation, a slowing economy, and staffing challenges are going to keep putting pressure on operating margins for the coming year. The need to improve billing cycles and revenue capture will undoubtedly be brought to the forefront. One frequent concern we hear from administrators and IT executives is the disruption to billing and charges when networks aren’t communicating as we expect. We discuss this in a?blog post from April, one network break can have a significant impact on the revenue cycle.

HIMSS Theme
This year’s theme at HIMSS is “Health that Connects + Tech that Care,” of course a hot topic this year for all our tech colleagues will be AI. We discussed this a bit with our?December?blog post. This will be an interesting to track in the coming years as the technology improves, concerns about equity are addressed, and new solutions come available.
Value Based Care
Another hot topic in health care has been the buzz surrounding Value Based Care. Technology will undoubtedly play a large role in extending the reach of our clinical teams toward increased home patient monitoring and engagement. What are we excited about?
We’re looking forward to HIMSS, and our theme this year is “Tech that Connects.” Our health care technology systems have become increasingly complex, relying on multiple point solutions, new digital devices, and increasingly integrated cloud based infrastructure. Hours of clinical and tech support time can be wasted just looking for a single point of failure and most issues are identified by the end-user before IT teams are even aware. Our?Application and Integration Monitoring?real-time machine learning solutions can improve response to production clinical applications and integration issues, often before the end user is even aware.
We’ll monitor your applications and interfaces, so your staff can monitor their patients.
For over 15 years?Tido Inc.?has been a trusted partner for healthcare organizations for a variety of tech needs, application and integration monitoring, digital strategy, EHR integration, as well as mobile and web testing.?Contact us?today, or connect with?our team?at HIMSS!
