I attest to always being a keen student of life, like all of you I would verify to one of the most obvious elements of our existence, that life is undeniably unpredictable. Not a genius conclusion to be made for sure! No matter what we imagine or plan, the continuum is ever surprising and most of the time we are barely able to glimpse and make sense of it from our current vantage point. In the last 3 years the world has witnessed the fragile nature of the human life, it is ever so delicate and now asking mankind to adopt a different lens to reimagine the future. A more worthy realization is that the human spirit is magnificently resilient, in troubling times it finds a way to move forward adapting and evolving in the face of impossible odds.
The complexity of the human emotions that is at play is never to be underestimated; it beckons us to soar again after submerging deep into the depth of ocean of despair, heartbreak, or suffering of any kind which comes with turbulence. One of the most frequently used saying that many of you may endorse is that ‘time heals everything.’ Against popular notions I would tend to only partially agree to this mainstream thinking as in my opinion times only helps us by adding in further layers of other emotions or coping mechanisms on top of the wounds that we experience. In my view the healing only takes place once we attend to the wound in specific after peeling the layers of other false beliefs that have been adopted along the way. The unattended wounds or unhealed part of the self will tend to show outward at the unexpected moments, startling us to the core and presenting as behaviors or patterns that may take an entire lifetime to understand and address.
Consequently, it merits a deeper look because it would possibly offer an awareness hiding in plain sight, that people at times are not fully equipped to manage the process on their own. Resilience must be celebrated but we should not take it for granted that everyone is effectively progressing with right beliefs that serve their highest good. This is further evident as we witness rise in mental health issues where there is essentially need for mental health professionals to step in in order to provide expert guidance to individuals and corporates alike. Then there are those that do find comfort in getting busy with the other aspects of life to diminish the discomfort, meaning a decision has been made to abandon the value of facing inner voice. There are so many brave hearts that do face it head on, before moving forward. The truth is that we are all on a hero’s journey and when we look inwards to face the unthinkable, which is commonly known as dark night of the soul, 'Hero' finally saves the day. It unlocks the door for the healing to begin, finally the happy ending is in sight and light at the end of dark tunnel. ?
The human mind and heart that acts as body’s two major pivotal centers have unexplored potential to accomplish the impossible. The spirit or essence of our being that inspires us to fuel and fill ourselves with optimism is always accessible to everyone. Many stories of incredible selfless service, compassion and kindness surfaced during the pandemic; there was never any shortage of them being eminent in our homes and community at large. Story of healing, victory from insurmountable probabilities mostly originates from the most ordinary unassuming sources. I feel there is great necessity for us as a collective to partake in offering compassion and kindness to ourselves which will in turn effect our family and friends.

It is a significant investment, one of growth self-benefiting from the lessons and our healed wholistic version will surely create an everlasting impact.
It is through this unceasing encouragement that we must passage through life listening to many unheard voices that remain in our midst that do not give words to their experiences or feelings, giving a false impression that all is well. The surprising part is that it is every so often our own voice that we are unable to hear amid the noise of the outside world. I urge each one of us to deliberately be present and attuned to the voices which are in and around us that may be sitting silent but may need to be heard. A great sage once quoted that ‘listening is a healing phenomenon,’ just the act of hearing someone genuinely may be all that is required for them to start the process. Let us all start this healing expedition by listening to ourselves foremost as it will be a brilliant first step to embrace our own requirements so that we are ready to promptly listen to others to commence the collective healing for the community.?

1 年You have hit the notes absolutely resonant and mirroring to what a lot of us have sailed through, in the past two years, and still are. This is the best diction of an inexplicable inner voice. Thank you for bringing it out so beautifully in words. Absolutely harken with the notion of "Time Heals Everything" as opposed to how we individually survive and battle with time, as it presents itself. Arti Raghava kudos to #Healing and #Listening and Thank You for this timeless piece!
