Healing from a Terminal Cancer

Healing from a Terminal Cancer

????????????, ?????????????????? ?????? ??????????????????????

I wish I could say that the last few weeks has been plain sailing but I would be lying.

Just before Christmas I managed to pick up one of the bugs flying around which was risky business given that I was neutropenic at the time. I was meant to get some antibiotics, but unfortunately they didn’t arrive in time.

My chest and cough got progressively worse until the evening of the 27th when it go so bad, I only got a few hours sleep before heading up to the Christie for my blood check up.

As soon as I walked in and told them I had a temperature, I was ushered into my own room. Their protocol where someone is neutropenic is to get IV antibiotics into the system within 60 minutes which they successfully accomplished.

I spent the whole day at the hospital and it was touch and go whether I’d be allowed to leave given that I also had low sodium as well.

There was a part of me hoping they would keep me in because I was so tired I didn’t know if I’d have the energy to drive home. I did get home that night.

I returned the next day for another check up and with some careful rehydration my sodium level returned to normal. I also managed to convince them to give me another bag of blood so I’d have a little more haemoglobin and energy.

On Tuesday 2nd we headed off to the Lakes for a short break. This included a trip to the hospital on the way there on Tuesday and on Friday on the way back to see my oncologist. After some relaxation and positive blood results, things seemed to be heading in the right direction.

When I got home on Friday night, I felt a scratch across my neck. That night I took my clothes off and looked in the mirror. A full body rash. Initially I thought it might be a little graft vs host. I slept like a log on Friday night and then Saturday came. My resting heart rate was just over 100. I thought I’d better phone the hospital and they encouraged me to head in to get checked out.

After some deliberation, I decided to head up to The Christie at 130am in the morning. Met by a lovely nurse and doctor, they checked me out. It was later confirmed that it appears it isn’t graft vs host, but a drug rash.

Sitting here, the rash is still here. I have removed all medication aside from the main one in the hope that it will subside soon. It hasn’t got worse so fingers crossed it will pass.

In October I believed that this recovery was going to be relatively straightforward given I had been here before. I never expected it to be as bumpy as it has been, especially since I switched the medication on the 10th December. There is a layer of vulnerability and concern and I am having to use every mindset strategy in the book to ensure I keep moving forward positively.

The most important aspect of any healing journey is to take control and be the CEO of your strategy. And as a CEO would do in business, they are continually building team around them to help achieve the vision.

So many times I see patients allow the current healthcare system to be their CEO. As I’ve mentioned before, to become the CEO you have to explore other options that sit outside of the standard of care offered. For me given that my mindset includes alternative, complementary and natural treatment, the biggest challenge for me is financing it all whilst a lot of my focus has been and still is on saving my own life.

So what is next?

Stage 1 is to get into remission. If this doesn’t happen, then it will be time to call in some heavier artillery with more toxic side effects. Focussing on the positive and that I do get into remission, then the options I discussed with my oncologist included:

?? More of my brothers cells

?? Exploring the possibility of CAR-T therapy

?? Maybe another stem cell transplant.

All of these are quite toxic and if I can, I want to try and avoid these at all costs.

My wild card is to head back to Florida and trust my oncologist over there in adding in other strategies to target the disease with some personalised medicine and to rebuild my immune system.

He is on holiday until next week, so I won’t find out what his thoughts are given the bumpy ride I’ve had so far to get me to this point.

The challenge with this option is that the investment is going to be around £ 175k which I don’t have so will have to find a way to raise the money to make this happen.

What I have learnt about my journey so far is that there are four important aspects of a recovery plan.

??. ???????????????? ?????? ?????????????? - modern medicine is pretty good at this using chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and more targeted therapies. The challenge here is managing the toxicity. Other strategies that are useful to consider are metabolically targeted off label drugs and supportive natural and complementary medicine. Nutritional therapists and Functional and Integrative Doctors are good to have on the team to help with these elements.

??. ???????????????????? ?????? ???????????? ???????????? - modern medicine doesn’t generally support immune system rebuilding, however, there are some pretty cool immunotherapy strategies coming to the surface. As with all modern medicine potential toxicities are always important to consider. For me, rebuilding my natural killer cell function last time in Florida worked really well and is a huge consideration this time again.

??. ?????????????? ???????? ?????? ???????? ?????????? - This is the element I didn’t focus on last time and with renewed focus and my expanded network, I have opened some new avenues that I am excited to explore with an important consultation that I have booked for the 28th February down in Dorset.

??. ?????????????????????????? - For those that have never heard of this, the definition of psychosomatic is a physical illness caused or aggravated by a mental factor such as internal conflict or stress.

In simple terms;

?????? ???????????? = ??????-???????? ???? ?????? ????????

???????? ???????????? ?????? ?????????????????? = ???????????? ?????? ????????????????

I have done a lot of work in this area and it seems I need to continue in this vein. Attending Steven Green 's Elite Mindset and Property training has been a huge shift for me and has potentially opened a door in working with Steven and someone within his network later this year.

Someone else I would love to experience in person at his Advanced Retreat is Dr Joe Dispenza . That is certainly on the radar for this year. Shame I missed him in London last year.

The title of this article is Vision, Possibility and Abundance all of which I need to achieve my main goal of 2023 which is Fully Heal. I know I can do this with my desire and persistence. I have the vision, I have the mindset to create the possibilities and for now, I need to seek some financial help to get me to Stage 1 and ???????? ???????? ?????????????????? ?????? ???? ???? ???????? ????????????????.

This recovery is ?????? ???????????? than the last one and I know I can do it with your help. ???? ???????? ???? ???? ?????????? £ ????,?????? on Jean-Pierre De Villiers LIV100 Go Fund Me which will help me achieve my goal of being in full remission in the next eight weeks.

This support will give me ongoing access to my nutritional therapist and her testing protocols, to complete her recommended treatment plan including important IV”s that will help put the fire out, the weekly travel to London to complete these, the supplements, the hyperbaric chamber and also the consultations I need to have to plan the next stages of recovery including rebooting my immune system and getting to the root cause.

Everything in life happens for a reason and I am in deep learning mode again and realigning my purpose and listening to the guidance I am being given and the message I am being asked to share.

My job is not to be a conformist. My job is to be courageous and help show people that suffering due to illness is a choice.

My job is to help show the world that you can become the CEO of your health and life.

If you have got this far, thank you for reading this post and I hope that through this vulnerable share, it can help inspire or help someone on their journey.

If you found this useful and wanted to learn more about becoming the CEO of your health, checkout a podcast I came across recently and listen to Tony Robbins and Jay Shetty discuss Tony's latest book, LifeForce. I will link it in the comments below.

In the meantime, please share this post, like this post and comment on it if it has moved you in anyway.

And if you are called, please click the GoFundMe Campaign support these next important eight weeks of my life.
