Healing Diwali

Today (November 4, 2021) is Diwali, the most important Indian festival. Families get together, shop, decorate the house, and pray to Goddess Lakshmi (the Goddess of wealth) for this festival of lights. My fondest memories are of Diwali with my family. Dressing up, praying, buying/donning new clothes was to manage my excitement until the fireworks. The fireworks by every household with much sparkle and noise were the epitome of festivities.?
Diwali is the largest retail shopping occasion in India and boosts both the local and online economies.
With the last Diwali marred by the pandemic, I pray this is a healing Diwali.
Families in India had a debilitating time this year with many losses during the pandemic's second wave. Local businesses lost a lot of commerce. Praying this start of the new Hindu fiscal year kickstarts thriving commerce for businesses across the globe.
Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
In keeping with the spirit of Diwali, I wish everyone joy, prosperity, health, and family memories.
