GPAHE Brings You the Latest News in Far-Right Hate and Extremism

??GPAHE’s Project 2025 Blog Series:

GPAHE continues to track Project 2025's supporters, and our blog series is an important resource for staying up to date on all things Project 2025.

Check out our latest blog entry where we look at Project 2025’s fight against surrogacy, a Project 2025 ally’s spread of misinformation about, of all things, Easter eggs, a collegiate swimmer turned anti-trans activist for Project 2025 organizations, and Project 2025 supporters in their own words. For a more robust analysis of Project 2025, read GPAHE’s report on this dangerous authoritarian movement.

??NEW from GPAHE: The Election Denial Industry is Ramping Up for 2024

In 2020, several far-right groups emerged and amplified Trump's baseless allegations that the vote was rigged and riddled with fraud. Now, as the 2024 presidential election approaches, many of these same groups, alongside others, are intensifying their efforts and false messaging that elections are plagued with voter fraud, instilling fear of possible election manipulation in November. To safeguard democracy, it is imperative that civil society is aware of groups spreading election denial, so we have profiled six prominent organizations involved in this activity. GPAHE reported on election denial groups in 2022 as well. Explore further to understand how far-right groups are continuing to push falsehoods about elections and voting.

??NEW from GPAHE: Pro-Orbán Hungarian Organizations Are Spreading the Country’s Authoritarian Agenda Abroad

A significant number of Hungarian institutions, generously financed by that country’s government, are actively forging influential networks in the United States and Europe. By working with far-right allies overseas, their objective is to sway democracies towards the policies of the Orbán regime, characterized by the EU parliament as an "electoral autocracy." This development is deeply troubling, and GPAHE is closely monitoring it. We have reported on the concerning ties between Orbán and officials from the Heritage Foundation, which is leading the rights-stripping Project 2025. Additionally, our co-founders penned an op-ed shedding light on the Heritage Foundation’s plan to use Trump as an instrument for importing Orbánism into the US.

??8 O’Clock Buzz WORT 89.9FM: Project 2025: Far Right Plans For An “Ideal” America

“It’s the old saying: ‘When someone tells you who they are and what they’re going to do, you should believe them,’ and this [Project 2025] is a 900-page document with very detailed activities and policy measures for the next conservative president…Some of these groups, or the way that they introduce their plans for how the US should be run, what it should look like, and how our culture and values should be, they do it under the heading of ‘religious initiatives’ or under the heading of ‘experienced political policy people,’ and sometimes both. We call them ‘coat and tie bigots,’ because they look and act as though these [Project 2025 policies] are not their ultimate goals, but indeed, they are.” ?-Wendy Via, discusses the importance of taking Project 2025 seriously

GPAHE’s take: Last week, GPAHE’s co-founder Wendy V. elaborated on the groups that are backing Project 2025’s exclusionary policies, like far-right, bigoted think tanks Turning Point USA, led by Charlie Kirk, and American First Legal tied to Stephen Miller, Trump’s former senior policy advisor who has deep ties to white nationalists. GPAHE has been sounding the alarm and diving deeper into the coordinated efforts of Project 2025 supporters through our weekly Project 2025 blog series. Take a look at the series to learn more.

Together, we can combat hate and extremism and change the world.
