Headlamp partnering with XRTerra for AR/VR pathways for veterans!
Headlamp is excited to announce our partnership with XRTerra, a The Glimpse Group (Nasdaq: VRAR) company.
Through this partnership, we are piloting programs to train 50 #veterans for #AR and #VR #developer and #designer career paths over the next year, with plans to expand!
AR and VR, or XR, skills are in extremely high demand, and job opportunities in this space are exploding! And veteran's backgrounds are critical to many applications of the technology. Just look at Microsoft's contract with the Army!
Prerequisites for the bootcamp can be found at xrterra.com. They are generally familiarity and experience with programming languages for the developer track and with design/ 3D modeling tools for the designer track. Game engines, animations, etc. are all nice to have. The bootcamp's themselves are 8 weeks long (part-time, virtual) with the potential for a 4 week foundations course for those that need to bolster their basic skills.
Through this partnership Headlamp and XRTerra will be offering this bootcamp #free to veterans eligible for the #dodskillbridge program. Participants will attend the bootcamp as a #headlampfellow with duty at one of many employer partners, like our previously announced partnership with MAK Technologies .
We have many starts for the bootcamp, and lots of flexibility to accommodate veterans' unique timelines and personal challenges while facing your transition.
