Head Trash - Clearing Off Your Mental Desk

This is a powerful exercise that was taught to me by a mentor decades ago. The idea is that if your desk is cluttered, it’s hard to work efficiently. Same concept with your mind – if it’s cluttered with all sorts of different stressers, it’s hard for it to work efficiently.
So, take out a piece of paper/log in/whatever works best for you. Write/type all of the things you’re worried about, think about, stressed about, comes to mind when you are driving, etc. Write/type them all down – do not hesitate or try to justify if it should be on this list or not – get them all down.
Okay – once done – that’s a lot of things, isn’t it????
Next, go through the list and put all items that are outside your control in a separate column. Then place everything that is in your control in another column.
Then, take all of the items that you can control, prioritize them, and transfer them to your Ultimate Scenario (as illustrated in my other Articles/Videos). These are the major and prioritized items that we are going to focus and work on over the next 90 days.
Now look at the items that are out of your control. We are going to work on consciously letting go of those items in your mind. You and I will work together on this. Take out the garbage!

When we are done, you will have released the things that are outside of your control or not critically important.? That energy will be used to create positive results on the things that matter. You will also have a fresh new list of important critical items that you can control to work towards.
…and you will have a clean Mental Desk to start fresh!
