A head start in Spanish equities

First of all, let’s be clear. The following is not investment research/advice.?And, as such, it involves no investment recommendations. These are notes I take to keep myself current on newsflow regarding Spanish equities. I share them freely (and not just as regards price). As always, I am only trying to help. Please read the rest of the “discomplainer (*)” at the end of the article.

Stories in alphabetical order

Banks sector??(+/=) The cost of renegotiating mortgages rises 116% in twelve months (Expansion p17)

(-/=) Banks already converge with Europe in remuneration of deposits for corporates although still lag 33% for households (Cinco Dias p5)

Iberdrola?(=) Exceeds its dividend target, reaching that for 2025 and considers further rises (Expansion p4)

Investment Strategy??(-) The Ibex index falls 1.06% to 9,486, with investors taking profits (Expansion p22)

(-/=) The Government erects new shields against bargain hunters in AI and renewables (Expansion p3)

Macro??(=) The Industrial Production Index for May shows a 0.1% YoY decline (adjusted for working days and seasonality) vs. -1.0% in April (National Statistics Institute)
