HEAD OF PHILANTHROPY ASIA | UNIVERSITY OF MANCHESTER

With over 400,000 alumni around the world, we have an enormous?-?almost unprecedented - opportunity to help the University of Manchester have an even greater impact in the world.

The Head of Philanthropy Asia is a key role which will nurture and grow our promising philanthropic pipeline in the Asia region. There has been a development programme in this region since 2018 and an active community of alumni.

The successful candidate will drive the next phase of our strategy forward beyond alumni donors and to build on recent transformational donations as a catalyst for further giving.

The Head of Philanthropy Asia will hold a portfolio of high and ultra-high net worth individuals to deliver six, seven and eight-figure gifts, and build relationships that advance and enhance the University’s important work.

Whilst based in Hong Kong, you will have the support of a highly motivated,?collaborative?and friendly team back in the UK.

The University of Manchester East Asia campus?has been established in Hong Kong for more than 30 years?and?is a?wholly-owned?subsidiary of The University of Manchester.

We are the only overseas university to have a centre with its own teaching facilities and staffs in Hong Kong to offer immediate support to students from the East Asia Region including Japan, South Korea,?Taiwan?and Macau.

This is the perfect time to join the University of Manchester as we celebrate the bicentenary of the University, 200 years from its earliest origins in 1824.

Over the past ten years, we have significantly grown our fundraising income, with almost £100 million received in the past five years alone and donor numbers increasing by 3000 to over 6000 every year.

Following the celebrations of our 200th anniversary, we will step firmly into our third century by publicly launching a major University-wide fundraising and volunteering campaign.

If you’re looking for a new opportunity which is challenging, rewarding and impactful, then please do consider applying. We are on an exciting journey as an institution and would love to hear from you.

Salary of circa HKD $700,000?and based at the?University of Manchester East Asia Centre?in?Causeway Bay?in Hong Kong.
