The Head of People and Culture is a key member of the School Executive, responsible for leadership of all areas of strategic and operational people practices across the School. The Head of People and Culture will support the achievement of Danebank’s strategic design through managing change, fostering a positive learning culture, and ensuring effective people management practices.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Proven track record as an excellent human resources leader who uses research and data to drive best practice, with a capacity to work alongside staff.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Industrial Relation systems and legislative Acts and Regulations
  • Extensive knowledge and evidence of application of HR practices and HR system improvements, such as employee self-service tools, automated workflow documents, performance appraisal systems, recruitment platform systems, salary packaging tools, EEO, and diversity.
  • Proven capacity to shape culture, to foster a commitment to the Christian mission of Danebank and promote the School’s capacity to thrive.
  • Proven skills in teamwork, influence and collaboration.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills to manage complex relationships.
  • Willingness to embrace challenges when required.
  • Warmth, empathy, energy and good humour.
  • High levels of confidentiality, discretion, emotional intelligence and resilience.
