Nilo is an early phase business that owns innovative technology (including patents and trade secrets) for the repurposing of waste plastic into commercially-viable alternative product solutions at scale. The opportunity for Nilo to solve the waste plastic problem is very real and without precedent in the global marketplace.
To support its international commercialisation goals, Nilo is establishing an innovation centre in Auckland, NZ and is seeking a suitably qualified person to lead both the establishment and ongoing evolution of the new centre.
The Nilo Innovation Centre will be primarily responsible for delivering market-ready product specifications, test data and product samples to support commercialisation of the Nilo Intellectual Property. As such, it will form a critical component of the successful acquisition of international customers.
To be the successful applicant you will have a tertiary honours qualification in Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline and preferably a tertiary qualification in commerce (Master of Engineering Management, MBA or equivalent). You will also need to have demonstrated a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing engineer including experiences interfacing with operations, design, safety and commercial functions. Experience taking innovation from idea through to commercialisation and experience managing R&D projects is also preferred as is experience with early phase business environments is preferred.
