About Talent-Ed

Talent-Ed Education is a fast-growing charity dedicated to creating a fair education system. We believe that every young person should have the support they need to flourish, regardless of background. We match high quality tutors with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to boost their grades, confidence, and future opportunities through impactful, tailored tuition.

This is an exciting time in the organisation’s development - we recently celebrated our ten-year anniversary in a stronger position than ever before. For the third year running we are an approved provider for the government’s flagship National Tutoring Programme. We are delivering tuition to thousands of students in schools across the country as part of the national catch-up mission.

We are also in our third full year running a unique programme for exceptional young mathematicians – the Maths Masterclass Tutorials – run in partnership with best-selling maths writer Dr Simon Singh. Through our Tutoring Excellence drive we recently published important research analysing what it takes to provide truly impactful tuition, and held a follow-up series of workshops, both of which were very well-received.

All our work is coordinated by a dedicated central team based at our King’s Cross office. Our work is overseen by a board of trustees, led by Neil Carmichael, former Chair of the Common’s Education Select Committee. We are also a proud member of the Fair Education Alliance.
