My client ?is a global membership organisation for significant business and financial wealth sectors delivering cutting-edge forums and events to the community. Due to growth a new role has arisen for a Head of Events which would suit a well-rounded events professional with knowledge of Content & Conference Production & Operations.

?

The Role: is an exciting position in a niche market for a confident and outstanding events professional with experience across both production and operations with at least 5 years’ experience of proven conference/events delivery.

?

Duties:

Lead and manage the production and operations teams responsible for the EMEA portfolio of events whilst also producing a number of programmes within the portfolio. The team includes oversight of one content producer and one operations manager. The duties and required experience within the role are broken down as follows:

?

Management:

  • Oversee the direction and management of your event team as they plan, develop and deliver on brief, budget and deadlines, and to the highest quality
  • Ensure all event documents and paperwork is accurate and in place, including event running order, delivery schedules, staff briefing sheets, speaker briefing sheets etc
  • Coach, mentor and lead your team with clear direction and focus on their roles and responsibilities set to achieve the event business plan and associated targets and metrics
  • Communicate regularly with the team keep them updated on strategic and tactical department news, developments and results
  • Empower team synergy and positive team spirit

Operations:

Oversight the operations manager in their key roles which include, but are not limited to, venue liaison, supplier management, attendee management, production of forum materials, in-house communication and briefing, on-site management, post event reporting.

Production:

  • Take an active role in the production of a number of programmes within the EMEA portfolio which will require the following skills and experience:
  • Day-to-day responsibility for the research, production and management of your EMEA portfolio of private bespoke events.
  • Liaise and collaborate closely with other divisions within the business to execute efficiently on the content development, audience development, promotion and successful implementation of the forums.
  • Produce (to deadlines), project manage and attend a series of high-profile forums, events and workshops throughout the respective regions ensuring that all deliverables are met in accordance with Campden’s quality and growth strategy.
  • Plan and conduct pivotal industry research including telephone research, one-on-one meetings, networking meetings and interviews with leading figureheads within the industry.
  • Develop and build harmonious relationships with key contacts and key sponsors.
  • Acquire and brief world class, relevant and appropriate speakers and then manage speakers’ liaisons in the building-up of the event through to its completion to maximise contribution and programme interaction.

This is a position within the EMEA events department, and the successful candidate will be a figurehead for the production and operations roles inputting into the development of the portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver consistent results correlated to targets across the Event Portfolio,
