Head of CTEH Joins Arkansas Research Alliance Board of Trustees

CTEH President brings a passion for technology and innovation to the research community

The Arkansas Research Alliance (ARA) announced today that Chase Selby, President of CTEH, has joined the ARA Board of Trustees. Mr. Selby’s tenure begins immediately.

“Chase leads a company that applies scientific innovation and expertise to solve serious problems, so he’s well-positioned among corporate executives leveraging Arkansas-based research to grow our state's economic and business competitiveness,” said Bryan J. Barnhouse, President & CEO of ARA.

After earning a degree in environmental science from the University of Central Arkansas, Mr. Selby joined CTEH, an Arkansas-based consulting firm specializing in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. He has since led responses to major events, including the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, damage in Texas from 2017’s Hurricane Harvey, and managing the protocols and procedures during the COVID-19 outbreak for Hollywood film and tv productions and for major awards shows including the Grammys, Emmys, and Oscars.

With expertise in tackling complex projects, from large-scale emergency responses to subsequent disaster recovery construction management efforts, Mr. Selby now oversees all of CTEH’s operations, finances, and personnel across the United States. He previously served in leadership roles at CTEH, including senior vice president of operations and vice president of innovative services.

Chase Selby currently serves as President of CTEH, an Arkansas-based consulting firm specializing in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.

An Arkansas native, Mr. Selby is proud to give back to the community through his support of Ponder the Kid’s Causes, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Arkansas Food Bank, and Birch Tree Communities.
