He Was TOTALLY Freaking Out, But Then...

My wife & I took our 4 kids to Hershey Park this past Friday...

The boys (Kaden 8 & Kole 6) had off school & we have season passes so it was a no-brainer.

We've been there probably 10 to 12 times or more this summer and even though my oldest LOVES roller coasters, there's one that he hadn't gone on yet.

It's the biggest & "craziest" one there...200 foot drop, goes 75 miles/hour, etc.

Numerous times throughout the summer we'd start to get in line, then he'd freak out and we'd go back out.

We're not sure how many (if any) times we'll be back this summer so Pam & I were really encouraging him to give it a shot, because we knew in the end he'd LOVE IT.

So he finally decided that he was going to do it.

There was no line at all because season pass holders can get in the park early (which is absolutely glorious) so we went right up the gates they open & close to let you on the ride...

Then he starts to freak out again. A little scared...OK a lot scared.

I talked with him, told him I'd be sitting right next to him and that he could even hold my hand.  

Finally (after 3 cars going) he's ready to get on.

We load up & climb quickly to the peak before heading down and around on what has got to be one of the greatest roller coasters...EVER.

Of course in the end he absolutely loved it and was so glad that he had gotten on.

Not only that but he asked if Hershey Park had any plans for putting in an "even crazier" coaster, because after that one most of them seem pretty lame.

So why am I sharing this story with you?
