We often begin each day with challenges and opportunities in front of us that appear to be impossible. How we approach each challenge is a reflection of our thinking. When we attempt to conquer what is in front of us, we need to intentionally prepare for each challenge. When we fail to achieve our goal, do we make excuses or take responsibility?
Making exuses is allowing fear to replace responsibility with blame. Hiding behind excuses allows a person to use blame and hide behind being unprepared. When we make a habit of making excuses, we begin to rationalize our excuses as responsible behavior.
As we encounter every situation, asking 3 powerful questions will help transfer a negative situation into a positive momentum.
- What Happened?
- Why did it happen?
- How do we make sure it will never happen again?
When we are honest with ourselves, we can be honest with those around us. Be a person of integrity and not a person of excuse.
Make today great!
