He Almost Didn't Write His First Book; Now He's Published 19

?? If you could peer into the minds of published nonfiction authors, what would you learn? That’s what the Impactful Author Showcase is all about.

The idea is simple: Read this and find the inspiration and ideas to write and publish a nonfiction book that elevates your brand and multiplies your impact

MEET THE AUTHOR

Name: Abraham Owoseni, Ph.D.

Profile: Seasoned Education Leader, Youth Development Specialist, Life & Leadership Coach, Author, Global Speaker & Corporate Trainer Raising Young People & Moulding Minds

Fun Facts: He has authored 19 books in 10 years and once wrote a 30,000-word book in a month.

??? TIP 1: You don’t need decades of experience to teach what you know to those who don’t know what you know

In 2014, Dr, Abraham had a nudging from God to write a book that taught professionals how to excel in their careers. But as the thought lingered in his heart, he found himself thinking:

You can only write a book on excelling in your career after accumulating 25-30 years of corporate experience.”

Thankfully, he realized that assumption was wrong and proceeded to write and self-publish the book.

So, I embarked on the project, making it the focal point of that year. By October, I had completed the manuscript for “The Career Leader.” I vividly remember dedicating a special notebook to the manuscript and establishing a routine of writing at my dining table, which served as my makeshift home office at the time.

Taking action led him to discover…

??? TIP 2: You’ll never know everything about any subject, so write that book now and update it later (if you need to).

"Interestingly, the second edition was revised and expanded much sooner than I anticipated—within about a year. Reflecting on this journey, I can't help but wonder: what if I hadn't taken that initial step? Truly, you can only improve upon the book that has been written.”

??? TIP 3: Seek a mentor who could serve as an accountability partner during your writing journey

“Due to the demands of writing and other commitments, distraction poses a frequent challenge, often coming in the form of both positive and negative interruptions. To counter this, I sought guidance from a mentor who became my accountability partner while I wrote one of my books. Their support and oversight were crucial in helping me stay focused and manage distractions effectively.”

??? TIP 4: The world needs you to own your place as a thought leader

“In today's economy, there is a high demand for thought leadership from institutional leaders and corporate professionals. By sharing your experiences, expertise, and achievements through publishing, you not only contribute to the collective knowledge but also create a lasting legacy and inspire future generations.”

Your voice and words are needed—don’t deny the world of all the books trapped inside you!”

??? TIP 5: Don’t seek to copy other authors. Develop your unique writing style and approach.

“As John Mason would say, imitation is limitation. Seek your unique template from God on how your books should be. My books are a direct result of such divine encounters, and I firmly believe that God is the ultimate source of all wisdom. Knowledge is good, but wisdom is even better.”
