2023 was a year of alliteration in our messaging: “Alignment, Accountability, and AI”, which dominated many discussions and conference themes. Only appropriate then that our Winter Conference stayed aligned with such messaging as we worked through our Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for 2024, following an engaging presentation on healthcare and AI by Stanford University School of Medicine and GSR Ventures ' Justin Norden, MD, MBA, MPhil . Our President, Greg Georgatos , our Director of Finance and Administration, Ryan Lieberman , and our Vice President of Client Services, Darin Ryder , all gave top-notch presentations, in addition to Justin’s. A huge kudos to Damaris Thomas for pulling together an incredible virtual event (and Happy Hour the night prior!) and our team members’ strong focus during the all-day Winter Conference.

December brought some other great programming at HDM, with our Winter Quarterly Call on December 15. Our Delivery team members highlighted their efforts in unleashing the potential of healthcare data and technology at the country’s top healthcare organizations, biotechnology companies, and digital health firms. At HDM's December Board of Directors' Meeting in New York City, our incredible independent directors, Alyssa Rapp , Monica Gupta , Jeremy Schwach , and Curtis Cole , MD, met live, in a space provided by our incredible friends at MD Clarity , with our Executive Leadership Team (Greg and Tyler). Our Rising Star Caitlin Nolan (Snow), PMP took the reigns of the Women’s Leadership Council, and invited and hosted guest speaker Kerri Webster , a VP at Children's Hospital Colorado , for the WLC's December meeting.

And while all the work we put in to ensure our alignment as a team and accountability to one another will manifest in 2024, following the theme of events, we are excited to announce that we will be at JPMorgan, ViVE (our first as a member of CHIME !), and HIMSS Orlando (where we will be hosting a happy hour with Health Catalyst at TopGolf). Please let us know if you will be at any or all of these events; we would love to connect!

A final call to action: we continue to add excellent leaders and individual contributors to our team. You may have noticed a recent posting for our Sales Director and Account Manager needs. We welcome all candidates who fit the criteria and look forward to bringing more into the fold who want to make IT happen.

Advisory Services for an Educational Partner

Health Data Movers played a significant role as an advisory partner in collaboration with a significant educational institution. Our primary objective was to define both technical and clinical requirements for the institution's new Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), mainly focusing on clinical imaging areas beyond Radiology and Cardiology, such as Point of Care Ultrasound, Endoscopy, ENT, OR, Dermatology, etc.

We outlined clinical workflows and integration options for each vendor source system in our advisory capacity. Simultaneously, we identified crucial VNA vendors for evaluation, crafted a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP), and actively participated in scoring both the RFP responses and vendor demonstrations. Throughout this process, we emphasized the importance of maintaining robust relationships and communication with our client, recognizing that daily collaboration with their IT imaging team was vital to nurturing this partnership—a practice consistent with Health Data Movers' approach.

Our efforts generated over 350 RFP questions, covering various indispensable aspects of the project. Additionally, we meticulously scored both the RFP responses and the candidates under consideration. The quantifiable outcomes underscored the project's success, demonstrating our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our clients.

In conclusion, Health Data Movers succeeded in advising our partner and delivering precise, tangible results. Our expertise contributed to the successful implementation of the VNA and reinforced our dedication to effective collaboration and client satisfaction.

Winter Conference 2023

The Health Data Movers Winter Conference is always an exciting event that brings our teams together to learn and plan the future of HDM!

We want to start out with a big thank you to our guest speaker, Justin Norden, MD, MBA, MPhil. An Adjunct Professor at?Stanford University School of Medicine, Justin educated us on the evolution of Generative AI, the current landscape, and Generative AI’s limitless potential for the future.

Tyler Smith’s CEO address set the tone for inspiring talks and work sessions. Together, we took a moment to reflect on the pivotal moments of 2023 and, with great anticipation, look forward to the promising horizons of 2024. During our look back at 2023, our President,?Greg Georgatos, addressed the milestones achieved, challenges overcome, and the growth we experienced as a leader in healthcare IT. We finished by looking forward to 2024 when the executive team unveiled our ambitious goals and objectives for 2024.

It was an event to be remembered and a great conclusion to 2024.
