HCC Kicked Off Its Fall 2024 Transfer Connections Fairs Increasing Awareness

Houston Community College (HCC) Career & Transfer Services ?successfully launched its Fall 2024 Transfer Connections Fair series with a strong showing at the first event on Monday, September 30th, at the Eastside campus and completed the series at the Spring Branch campus on Thursday, October 10th.

Nearly 50 universities attended all the transfer fairs from both in-state and out-of-state, offering 900+ HCC students a valuable opportunity to explore transfer options and meet university representatives. Texas A&M University, University of Texas, Texas Tech University, University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, Texas Southern University, Houston Christian University, and other universities were in attendance.

University recruiters and HCC students engaged in meaningful discussions about academic programs, transfer requirements, and scholarships, making it another impactful event. “The presence of the transfer team truly made a difference”, stated Dr. Bao Tran, Manager of Transfer Services. “The transfer fairs were structured and well organized.”

The turnout, tracked through CareerHub, highlighted the growing enthusiasm among students to explore their transfer options and take the next step in their academic journeys.?
