Haystack Based Source-Available Controls
Creation of Project Sandstar Consortium
The goal of Anka Labs is to create a build space industry that is built on collaboration. This has been achieved in other industries like within personal computers.
For example PCI-Sig consortium has over 880 companies.
Their statement declares
PCI-SIG specifications define standards driving the industry-wide compatibility of peripheral component interconnects. Members regularly review them, providing commentary and change requests when necessary. These requests are considered by technical workgroups and applied as appropriate, resulting in collaboratively devised specifications benefiting millions of platforms and add-in devices.
Our Statement with Project Sandstar Consortium that will include Anka Stack is as follow.
Project Sandstar Consortium defines standards improving distributed computing for internet of things with technologies open and closed source. Members will have a voting system utilizing block-chain technology. Based on the votes open hardware and software technologies will reduce hardware and software costs for build space thus allowing distributed computing to enter into smart spaces.
Major Goals of Project Sandstar Consortium is as follows
Basis of our solution is logic from different vendors to be portable between each other.
Project Sandstar
We have achieved this merging two open technologies, Project Haystack and Sedona Framework.
Standardized Sedona kit called eacio (Edge Analytics Controller Input Output) enables the control logic to be separated from hardware. This kit is standardized and frozen to changes at this time until consoritum agrees for a change. This changes paradigm of smart building controls as it is open source. Sedona framework produces an XML file and non of the definitions won't utilize hardware dependent definitions. This shall easily allow a manufacturer generate new devices or change the CPU without worrying about large software undertaking.
Build space will benefit from moving program between different manufacturer without worrying about compatibility and communication.

Technologies utilized within this part of the stack is as follows
SHaystack Client (Sedona Haystack Client)
Sedona Haystack client is a Sedona kit that is standardized and frozen to changes until consortium agrees for change.
With Shaystack client we can have eval functions run also we can read points with based on haystack filters or directly with record id calls. We can also have a Sedona component that can write to Haystack point. Within our modBus gateway, we can write modbus point that is imported into skyspark or to any writeable point.
This is the first introduction article. Sandstar Consortium has not been found yet. We are working on methods to create the funding for the consortium. We are explaining what has been written for the stack and the goals for future implementations and goals.
Join us with your thoughts so far within this article. We would love to hear your feedback.
Stay tuned for the next articles. We can bring distributed TRULY open controls that built space TRULY deserves.

1 年There is no such thing as "open source within a community" That is proprietary, which is fine, and may be the right decision for your purposes, but is not open source. Huge fan of abstracting the software from the hardware layer. Kudos to that.
