In Live Broadcasting, Transmission is everything.?Providing a stable reliable signal from point A to Point B is Important. Especially on the biggest night in Hollywood.?Equally important is having a solid back up path.
Streaming Media Live was tasked with providing a solid backup?alternative for the International feed to Mexico for IMS & TV Azteca.?
We deployed our LiveU LU 800 encoder and utilized the 4 camera feed option PRO4 to send?4 signals from the Hollywood Museum Control Room over to The International TV Compound at the Oscars. Our LiveU?LU 2000 Server received the signal of the 4 feeds and integrated into the production Truck.
3 Transmission Paths were implemented on this broadcast. Satellite to Fiber, IP Encoders & LiveU.
LiveU was chosen because, of it's stable and reliable performance during last years Oscars. Therefore, if we lost signal via Satellite or Fiber, LiveU's?bonded cellular LRT technology would allow the team to continue to transmit back to Mexico.??LiveU was solid and stable for the entire broadcast.??
