Having Python Phobia? Learn how to overcome!
It was a pleasant Monday morning and the mother attempted to summon Simon for breakfast, well that seems to be the third call for him, yet it appeared that her calls went unheard by him. Finally, she decided to enter his room and call out to him loudly. To her astonishment, she discovered Simon holding a tablet in his hand, eyes closed, pacing around the room while quietly reciting something. Contrary to her initial assumption of a magical chant (which was an obvious shock for any mother), she realized that he was memorizing various Python codes from his recent programming class.
This relatable Simon character resonates with every non-technical student, and this occurrence is commonly referred to as "python phobia" within the field of Business Analytics. As rapid technological advancements continue to reshape various industries, new avenues of employment are emerging. This has led to a surge in demand for courses like Business Analytics. Students are captivated by the potential of data to drive business decisions. However, a significant obstacle they often encounter is an ingrained fear of programming in Python.
Fear can only be effectively managed through the presence of freedom. This includes freedom from the apprehension of making errors in coding, freedom from the dread of delving into intricate and seemingly unsolvable problems of business problems, and freedom from the anxiety surrounding the challenges of grasping concepts like loops and functions in python programming. Conquering this fear demands the implementation of a range of approaches aimed at fostering self-assurance, comprehension, and hands-on familiarity. Let’s follow some rule to conquer your fear.
Rule No. 1: Train your Mind – Training your mind to embrace fear is crucial, and this can only happen once you start welcoming challenges. Every challenge demands a strategic approach, so the primary guideline is to acknowledge fear and confront it with a positive outlook. Opting for avoidance is the simplest route and therefore rejects all the urge to escape. This approach to escape will keep on hovering at all stages towards learning curve, so be proactive.
Rule No.2: Identify Mentors - Identify a reliable mentor, whether it's a friend, teacher, or experienced colleague, who can assist you in understanding fundamental concepts. Python Commence with straightforward tasks and progressively advance to more intricate issues. Initiate your journey by crafting basic programs, and as you build up confidence, gradually delve into more advanced subject matter. Go for resources tailored to beginners, such as online tutorials, video courses, and instructional books that present Python concepts in an accessible and comprehensible manner.
Rule No.3: Reinforce through Practice - Dedicate specific periods to practice coding; even if you don't encounter new challenges, revisit prior code for practice. Reserve a daily slot for coding activities.
Rule No.4: Engage with Python Communities - Python boasts dynamic communities; capitalize on these platforms to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Rule No.5: Seek Assistance - Don't hesitate to approach friends, mentors, teachers, or online communities when you encounter problems. The process of debugging and resolving issues is an excellent pathway to mastering Python.
Proficiency in Python necessitates a harmonious blend of knowledge and skills, therefore remember, ?
Knowledge can be achieved; skills can be learnt.
Knowledge can be transferred; skills can be practiced.
Knowledge gives wisdom; skills give wonders.
Knowledge is power; skills are an art to run that power.
