In the past few decades, college degrees have been highly valued and considered an important asset for employment opportunities globally. However, recent evidence suggests otherwise. As more people pursue higher education degrees, it becomes increasingly challenging for graduates to secure jobs in their fields of study.

One reason for this difficulty is the trend of oversaturation in the job market, which implies that there are too many people with similar qualifications as those needed by companies or organizations. Companies often look to provide quality services or products while minimizing expenses; thus preferring experienced individuals with proven skills over fresh graduates.

Another reason why having a degree can make survival harder is heightened competition. With universities granting thousands of students degrees each year, employers receive numerous applications from candidates with equivalent credentials vying for the same positions. Employers expect an individual with a master's degree or any other advanced qualification to stand out; therefore put higher demands for better performance and deliverables.
