Having a B.A.L.L. with Bay Area Lacrosse League

We want to share a little about the Bay Area Lacrosse League (BALL)?which was founded by?four lacrosse coaches who are deeply passionate about growing the game in Northern California to help the Bay Area become a true hotbed for elite lacrosse talent. BALL?was started in the Winter of 2020 to give the best college players the opportunity to compete against each other every off-season in a casual pick-up environment that is independent of other clubs and leagues.

College recruits, current college players, or recent college grads suited up to join in for high level competition with the best in the Bay again this summer. BALL is made possible by?Oakland Lacrosse,?Focus on the Field?and?Encore Lacrosse. As the number of kids from the Bay Area headed to play in college keeps increasing, BALL importantly helps these players make connections with other top talent playing in college from Norcal and provides a platform for summer tune-up.

The flexibility of BALL is important and different from the rigidity of organized club teams, not all the players can come every session, some are dropping into town just to play at BALL on a scheduled Wednesday night. Every night is unique, with the teams not pre-set but a mix of players that always guarantees passionate and high-level lacrosse. Most of these young men are on a break from their college programs or maybe just graduating high school and headed to play. They are at the top of their game, trying to get better as well as maintain skills and fitness against other top talent.

During the last night of the summer games, Coach Jack Huber talked about how?great people?make lacrosse such a special game and how BALL is a way to keep cultivating this community of amazing people in the Bay Area. He stressed that it's up to all the players to keep this program going so the rising tide continues to lift all ships!?

Coach Huber wanted to give a special thanks to?Tyler Kreitz, Kevin Kelley,?and?Jon Christmas?for everything?they do for this community. Outside of?Focus On The Field,?Encore, and?Oakland Lacrosse, these guys do more to grow the game of lacrosse than people realize and are committed to keeping BALL going for years to come.?
