For the last couple of months, I have been watching many movies related to Coaching. Couple of movies which I have watched repeatedly are Coach Carter, Remember the Titans, Chakde! Dangal, The Blind Side, Invictus, etc.
I could parallel the coaching stunt in our corporate coach role. I could discover that we can likewise develop into a stronger coach by working out some of the coaching traits. There is also an identical discussion that appeared in our conversation. How can we grow into a great coach? What are the aspects we require to polish and develop into an impressive coaching journey? As most of the coaching activities are spread by the value we are creating to coachee’s life. Coach contribution has to be substantial as it is a lifelong journey. We are developing ourselves by polishing all these skills. In our discussion, we have been requested to rank ourselves in all these mentioned areas, how do we consider ourselves from core our mind, what could be graded in each area in 1-5 scale, 5 being the Master standard performance? Something to judge upon and establish an action plan to strengthen these skills.
What do you think? Any other comments, if I am missing anything? How do you want to rank yourselves in these 18 attributes?
In my first book, The Agilist's Guidebook, there is an entire chapter dedicated to Coaching Development.
