Have you voted yet?

I have a big school project due this evening so this weekend's newsletter is short and to the point: Your vote matters. We are eight days away from Election Day and I want to take a moment to talk about the power of our vote as Latin@s.

  • The Latino community is the fastest-growing group of eligible voters in the country, with nearly 35 million Latinos eligible to vote as of 2022, accounting for 14% of all eligible voters (Pew Research).
  • Every 30 seconds a U.S born Latino turns 18 making them eligible to vote.
  • More than half of eligible Latinos voted in the 2020 election—a record high that showcased our community’s commitment to making our voices heard (NALEO).

Voting is an opportunity to advocate for issues that impact our families and communities. A recent Pew survey found that issues such as the economy, healthcare, and education rank highest for Latino voters.

Listen, I am not here to tell you who to vote for; that is your personal choice. I am just here to remind your to use your voice. Voting is a way to say, "I’m here, and my voice counts."

Let’s make our voices heard this election season. Register, research, and, above all, vote.

?Hasta Pronto!
