The amount of Auckland data on the NZGD is growing rapidly, reaching nearly 13,000 logs, and there are some consultants out there who are doing a fantastic job.
Special mention goes to the top private-sector contributors to date, in order of number of logs uploaded:
- Aurecon
- Tonkin and Taylor
- Beca
- Jacobs
- Engineering Design Consultants
- ENGEO
- Opus
- GCL
Well done and thank you. If you’re not on this list, perhaps you need some advice or assistance on how to get started? Feel free to contact me, John Scott or Tracy Howe and we can give you some helpful tips.
The NZGD is a fantastic resource, but it does rely on each user uploading data. MBIE get a report each month of who's downloading data but not uploading anything in return. Don't forget that it's a condition of use that you upload any data that you are able to.
Used the database heavily for a scoping study this week. Things are now looking pretty good in Auckland. But I'd love to see more data in Wellington - it's a bit sparse there at present, and it could really benefit from having the data available -particularly for research work. I understand GNS Science have a database from previous research projects ("It's out fault" etc)- could this be added/ integrated into the NZGD at some stage? Has anyone asked them?

8 年Hi Ross, I've noticed that when searching by Location ID that, after it has found the BH/CPT, I can't open up the borehole details and data. A fix for this would be great. Good to hear about the AGS update.

8 年Ross - any ideas on how to speed up the data entry process. I'm finding it very repetitive and time consuming. Its been around in one form or another for around 5 years now so surely someone has some shortcuts to simplify the process for us time-poor folk?
